Our Story

Home from WW II and the campaign in the Pacific in 1945, Morris Miller began a fledgling business and named it Monmouth Dog Food Co.  The small door-to-door dog food business grew and spawned a related business, K-9 Grooming Co.  Unable to maintain both, the pet food end was turned over to a supplier (W.F. Fisher & Son, Inc.) in return for payment of an existing debt.  In 1971, the business was purchased by Ralph and Judy Kiracofe.   Ralph, being an employee of W.F. Fisher, had eight years experience in pet foods, fish foods, and laboratory diets.  He immediately moved the business towards wholesale distribution.

The growth of Monmouth Feed Supply necessitated more space and in 1983 was moved to Farmingdale, N.J. and its newly constructed 7500 sq. ft. facility.  Ralph's wife Judy retired young from her teaching career to join the business full time.

Water gardening is the fastest growing hobby in the U.S.  We at Waterworld have dedicated our efforts towards assisting and educating you, the retailer, installer, landscaper, and the individual pond keeper in pond keeping, construction, and aquaculture of all types.
